It's been quite a wild ride lately. We were ready for a new episode, but life threw us a curveball. Unfortunately, Rae had to deal with a tough time – her husband ended up in the hospital with a ruptured appendix. It's been a whirlwind of emotions and frustrations, and we want to share her experience with all of you.
It all started with some discomfort that got brushed off, as happens sometimes when you're used to dealing with health issues. Dealing with delays and tough decisions in the healthcare system added an extra layer of stress. Waiting for insurance approval and enduring long waits for test results is never easy, especially when someone you love is suffering.
The ordeal was emotionally draining for Rae, especially with personal struggles in the background. Dealing with anxiety and the anniversary of a family tragedy made it even more challenging. Nevertheless, Rae and Liam decided to head to the emergency room and push for the urgent care needed. The hospital's suggestion to delay surgery was not acceptable, and it added to the already high levels of frustration and anxiety.
Amidst all this, it's essential to keep pushing forward and advocating for the needed care. It's a harsh reality check of how flawed our healthcare system can be, especially in rural areas, and the emotional toll it takes on individuals and their loved ones.
Establishing a new focus for the podcast: authenticity.
We are committed to bringing you valuable content and discussions on living authentically, even when life throws unexpected curveballs. We hope that by sharing our experiences, we can inspire others to stay true to themselves and push through their hardships.
Thanks for being a part of our journey. We're looking forward to even more meaningful conversations.
Take care,
Lindsey and Rae

Rae realizes her friend has helped her cope with the tragic loss of her brother:
